During the fes\u00adti\u00adval week, the\u00adse young peo\u00adp\u00adle will watch films and then they attend a work\u00adshop with film edu\u00adca\u00adtor Lara Verschragen, who will help them ana\u00adly\u00adze aes\u00adthe\u00adtic and nar\u00adra\u00adti\u00adve aspects of the\u00adse films in the form of a film review.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

As a result, they con\u00adtri\u00adbu\u00adte youthful and inter\u00adna\u00adtio\u00adnal ener\u00adgy and important poli\u00adti\u00adcal dis\u00adcour\u00adses to LUCAS. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

As a part of the GET INVOLVED! pro\u00adject six teen\u00adagers start working tog\u00ade\u00adther in the months lea\u00adding up to the fes\u00adti\u00adval to sel\u00adect their films. These young peo\u00adp\u00adle have alre\u00ada\u00addy gai\u00adned expe\u00adri\u00adence at other film fes\u00adti\u00advals, film archi\u00adves or film insti\u00adtu\u00adti\u00adons, thus making them know\u00adled\u00adgeable cine\u00adphi\u00adles. LUCAS goes<\/h1>\n

Helping young peo\u00adp\u00adle orga\u00adni\u00adze and exe\u00adcu\u00adte their own open-air film event \u2013 that\u2019s the goal of the LUCAS goes pro\u00adject. In 2017 the LUCAS-team brought this par\u00adti\u00adci\u00adpa\u00adti\u00adve offer to the <\/span>neigh\u00adbor\u00adhood<\/span> of <\/span>Preungesheim<\/span>, and in 2019 \u201cLUCAS goes <\/span>Ginnheim<\/span>\u201d sup\u00adport\u00aded kids and teen\u00adagers with their own film scree\u00adning in the <\/span>Platensiedlung<\/span>. This pro\u00adject enables LUCAS to reach kids in dif\u00adfe\u00adrent <\/span>neigh\u00adbor\u00adhoods<\/span>, <\/span>which<\/span> don\u2019t have the best access to cul\u00adtu\u00adral pro\u00adgrams. This way LUCAS can bring the\u00adse oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adties to them ins\u00adtead of the other way around. In the pro\u00adject<\/span>\u2019<\/span>s <\/span>first <\/span>imple\u00admen\u00adta\u00adti\u00adon,<\/span> the focus will be put on film reviews and mul\u00adti\u00adme\u00addia skills. LUCAS will be col\u00adla\u00adbo\u00adra\u00adting with the <\/span>Medienstudio<\/span> Bornheim to make this pos\u00adsi\u00adble.<\/span> The par\u00adti\u00adci\u00adpan\u00adts bet\u00adween nine an<\/span>d<\/span> 14 years of age<\/span> <\/span>will <\/span>watch short films during a week of work\u00adshops in the sum\u00admer vaca\u00adti\u00adon.
